Privacy Policy

Sunnr ("we", "us") is a social activity app that helps people meet to do real-world activities together. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. Questions: hello@sunnr.life.

Account & profile: phone number, email, name, date of birth, photos, occupation, interests, lifestyle preferences, and anything else you add to your profile.

Location: with your permission, your device location, used to show nearby activities and approximate distances. Your precise coordinates are stored privately and are never shown to other users — others can only see an approximate distance, and only if your privacy settings allow it. Your city and country may be shown on your profile.

Content & activity: activities you create, join requests, messages you send, reports and blocks you file.

Identity verification: if you verify your identity, our verification partner (Didit) processes your ID document and selfie. We store only the outcome (verified / failed / expired), not your documents.

Payments: paid activities are processed by Stripe or Paystack. We never see or store your full card details.

Device: push notification tokens, device type, and app version, so notifications and support work.

To run the service: matching you with activities, showing distances, delivering messages and notifications, processing payments, preventing fraud and abuse, and keeping the community safe. We do not sell your personal data.

Service providers who run parts of Sunnr on our behalf: Supabase (hosting & database, EU region), SendGrid (email), Expo (push notifications), Stripe and Paystack (payments), and Didit (identity verification). Each receives only what it needs.

Other users see your public profile (name, age, photos, bio, interests, city/country) and the activities you post. They never see your contact details or precise location.

You can edit your profile, control location and distance visibility in Privacy settings, manage notification preferences, block or report anyone, and delete your account from Settings — which removes your profile and personal data from the service. You may also request access, correction, or deletion of your data by emailing hello@sunnr.life.

We keep data only while your account is active or as needed to provide the service and meet legal obligations. Data is encrypted in transit and protected with row-level access controls at rest.

Sunnr is for adults aged 18 and over.

If we materially change this policy we'll notify you in the app or by email before the change takes effect.
